Solterman Roofing Co., Inc is a professional company dedicated to customer service and satisfaction since 1971.
As of January 1, 2008, contractors are required to have a Dwelling Contractor Certification and a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification license number before doing contract work.
In order to obtain a building permit, if you are using a contractor to do the work, the certification / license numbers must be included on the permit.
The Dwelling Contractor Certification attests that the contractor doing your work is financially responsible and complies with liability insurances, workers compensation insurance and unemployment requirements. We are proud to let you know that we have carried this certification for over 10 years.
The Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification shows that there has been proper training and education to promote higher professional and ethical standards in the building industry and that they are following building codes.

• A Permanent Place of Business
Permanent address, telephone number, tax ID number, etc.
• Financial Liability
You should be satisfied that the contractor will be there when you need him - how long has he been in business?
• Proof of Insurance
Ask for a certificate mailed to you direct from the insurance company.
• Bonded and Licensed Where Required
Check the requirements of your state.
• References
Check with previous customers -complete satisfaction of workmanship.
• Warranties
Check labor and material warranties. Does the company stand behind their work?
• List of Completed Projects
Ask for projects name, owner and date of completion.
CUSTOMER 12 POINT CHECKLIST
1. Does the square footage of our proposal line up with other estimates?
2. Are you comparing apples to apples in materials and workmanship?
3. Are the other proposals as thorough and detailed as ours in explaining what you will be getting for your monies? And does their workmanship details as described on paper meet or exceed manufacturer specifications as clearly as ours?
4. Do the other companies have proper, required liability and workman's comp. insurance? WE DO. If they do not, you could be held 100% liable for any damage, or injury to their crew or others. (You have the right to request certificates of insurance that should be mailed to you by their insurance company.)
5. Do the other companies have qualified and certified workers / applicators? WE DO.
6. Do other companies have well-experienced carpenters? WE DO.
7. Do the other companies use upgraded, quality materials? WE DO.
8. Does the company you are considering for your roof job have the manpower and inclination to start your roof job in a timely fashion and to complete the work in a minimal length of time? WE DO. (When we start one roof job, we do not leave it to start another - one job until it's done - right.)
9. Have other companies done over 5.000 roofs, as we have, and a history of quality installation?

10. Does the company you are considering have the reputation of standing behind their work and coming back if and when you need them? WE DO.

12. Is the company in consideration a legal company certified with the State of Wisconsin? WE ARE - License #255089. (Feel free to ask.) This is state law as of January 1, 2008.
